Blackbird Music & Art Center opened their doors in 2008. Owners, Robb and Melody Smith saw a need in the community for a center that provided music and art lessons in a very unique environment.
For their 5 year Anniversary, Blackbird will be celebrating with an ?Open House Extravaganza? on Sat. Feb. 16th, from 3-6pm. The afternoon will include a student art show, free art projects, snacks, games, registration specials and live music spotlighting students, teachers and professionals.
The center has grown over the past five years. We offer private music lessons for all instruments including voice, group lessons, art classes for all ages, theater classes, and our Academy of Rock program. Blackbird also has a complete, full service instrument rental department and works with many of the talented band and orchestra teachers in the East Valley School Districts.
Blackbird also works with many of the charter schools by providing teachers who actually go to each school and conduct a complete music program. ?It?s been a long five years in this economy but we really feel as though our center provides a much needed service to grow the many talents in our community.? said Robb.
The center provides a list of extremely qualified teachers with music degrees or vast performance experience. The teachers are key components in providing motivating lessons for their students. ?Some of our students have been with us since our doors opened and we want to thank all of our customers for enhancing their children?s lives with music and art,? said Melody.
Blackbird Music and Art Center is located at 18911 East San Tan Boulevard in Queen Creek. Visit BlackbirdCenter.com or call 480-677-4159 for more information.
